Ray began barbering in 2012 with one goal: give the community professional service and haircuts that leave a positive impression, not only on the client in the chair but on everyone who sees the cut afterward.
He built Original Walker's on word of mouth, and the Austin Chronicle named it the Best Northside Barbershop in 2019. Some clients have been in his chair for more than a decade, and others drove in during a winter storm because he was the one who opened.
His motto is on every cut: "Your First Impression, Your Best Impression."
